HELLENIC MISSION WITH 22 DELEGATES HEADED BY THE DEPUTY VASSILI KOKKALI AT AGRITECH ISRAEL 2018
* Purpose to exploit Israeli technology in the agri-food sector

In order to exploit the technology in which they excel, as well as their willingness to invest in our country, which they regard as “friendly”, the Greek mission, headed by the Deputy Minister of Rural Development Vasilis Kokkalis, composed of representatives of the Chambers of Larissa and Chania, Crete and the TEI of Thessaly, carried out an investment “friendship attack” with representatives of Israeli companies, with whom he met in Tel Aviv.
The Greek delegation, including representatives of ginning and agri-food companies, was found in Israel as part of the 20th International Agritech Exhibition, one of the largest agricultural exhibitions in the world, attended by representatives from 58 countries.
The successive contacts of Greek businessmen with Israeli representatives that took place in the building of the Greek Embassy in Tel Aviv was a very good climate on both sides for collaborations at all levels.
“Give us the technology and knowledge so that quality Greek products will conquer the international markets. We as the Ministry of Rural Development have the will to support this joint effort, as of course the Greek government, respectively, in the other areas, “said Deputy Minister Vasilis Kokkalis, inaugurating the channel of communication between Greek and Israeli entrepreneurs.
Particularly in the agri-food sector, the aim of the Greek side is to exploit the know-how on issues of intelligent agriculture held by the Israelis and also to promote our products in the markets.
In one of the many contacts that have taken place, the Israeli company has been interested in investing in the real estate sector in the city of Larissa.
THE CARRIERS
The cooperation of the Larissa Chamber of Commerce and the companies of Israel in the creation of a company that will take over the ambitious plan of agro-marketing was pursued by the President Sotiris Giannakopoulos (accompanied by the director of the Chamber, Katerina Tsolakis).
Chania Chamber of Commerce Chairman Antonis Rokakis called on the Israeli people to indicate what products can be grown on their island and then how they will be promoted for export.
For his part, the rector of TEI of Thessaly Xenophon Spiliotis (accompanied by Professor Alex Papachatzis) sought to organize, together with Israel, information seminars focusing on agri-food and the possibility of hosting students of the Technological Foundation in Israeli enterprises, framework of training programs.
The first contacts were considered positive. B2b meetings, with a specific theme and timetable, will follow, under the discreet supervision of the Greek WPAT, mainly to overcome bureaucracy problems.
Mr. Giannakopoulos, Rokakis and Spiliotis warmly thanked the Deputy Minister of Rural Development, Mr. Vassilis Kokkalis, for the initiative he took so that the Greek mission to visit the Agritech International Exhibition and to be immediately informed about all the latest developments recorded in the primary production, his intervention in order to make meetings with Israeli entrepreneurs.
The companies with whom the Greek business mission met, Carmel AGREXCO (AMPA Group) and Frank Group, as well as Israeli entrepreneurs who are active in Tel Aviv in the marketing of pharmaceutical cannabis and could also invest in Greece after the passing of the relevant law.
Useful conclusions were also drawn from the contacts of the Greek mission with the President of the Israeli-Greek Chamber Mr Sabby Mionis, who referred to the very close cooperation of the two governments, to the positive opinion of the Israeli people about our homeland, so the Israeli waves tourists on the Greek islands. At the same time, Mr. Mionis called on the Chambers’ representatives to look for credible companies in their regions, which are looking for investors and dynamic partnerships.
CONTACT KOKKALI
On the sidelines of the exhibition Agritech Deputy Minister of Rural Development Vas. Kokkalis initially met with Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Shlomo Ben Eliyahu, who promised Larissa government agent to remove restrictions until the end of time on imports of Greek lamb and eggs in Israel. Mr Kokkalis also met with Israeli Minister of Agriculture Uri Ariel and agreed to further cooperation between the two countries on agri-food, technology and exports.
IN PATRIARCHEIO
The visit of the Greek mission was completed with the meeting at the Patriarchate of Jerusalem with Patriarch Theophilus III, whom Vas. Kokkalis congratulated on his important and key role in defending Orthodoxy in the wider Middle East region. He expressed his unwavering support to the Patriarchate of the Greek government and confessed to the rich feelings he had in last year’s presence at the Holy Light touching ceremony, representing the Greek government.

An invitation to Israeli companies to invest in Greek agriculture and at the same time to transfer their technology to Greek producers, with emphasis on intelligent agriculture, was addressed by the Greek business mission found in Israel a few days ago, headed by Deputy Minister of Rural Development, Vasilis Kokkalis.
The aim of the Greek mission is twofold: to visit its members the “Agritech” International Agricultural Exhibition and to be informed about all the latest developments in tomorrow’s agriculture and on the other hand to contact Israeli companies directly, which – research that preceded the Greek embassy in Tel Aviv – are interested in investing in our homeland.

Έντονο ισραηλινό ενδιαφέρον για επενδύσεις στην Ελλάδα
* Στόχος η αξιοποίηση της ισραηλινής τεχνολογίας στον αγροδιατροφικό τομέα
Η ελληνική αποστολή
Με στόχο την αξιοποίηση της τεχνολογίας στην οποία διαπρέπουν, αλλά και της προθυμίας τους να επενδύσουν στη χώρα μας, την οποία θεωρούν «φιλική», η ελληνική αποστολή, με επικεφαλής τον υφυπουργό Αγροτικής Ανάπτυξης Βασίλη Κόκκαλη, αποτελούμενη από εκπροσώπους των Επιμελητηρίων Λάρισας και Χανίων Κρήτης και του ΤΕΙ Θεσσαλίας, πραγματοποίησε επενδυτική «επίθεση φιλίας» σε εκπροσώπους ισραηλινών εταιρειών, με τους οποίους συναντήθηκε στο Τελ Αβίβ.
Η ελληνική αποστολή, στην οποία συμμετείχαν και εκπρόσωποι εκκοκκιστηρίων και εταιρειών που δραστηριοποιούνται στον αγροδιατροφικό τομέα βρέθηκε στο Ισραήλ στο πλαίσιο της 20ής διεθνούς έκθεσης Agritech, μιας από τις μεγαλύτερες αγροτικές εκθέσεις παγκοσμίως, την οποία επισκέφθηκαν εκπρόσωποι από 58 χώρες.
Στις διαδοχικές επαφές των Ελλήνων επιχειρηματιών με Ισραηλινούς εκπροσώπους που πραγματοποιήθηκαν στο κτίριο της ελληνικής πρεσβείας στο Τελ Αβίβ υπήρξε ένα πολύ καλό κλίμα και από τις δύο πλευρές για συνεργασίες σε όλα τα επίπεδα.
«Δώστε μας την τεχνολογία και τη γνώση, ώστε τα ποιοτικά ελληνικά προϊόντα να κατακτήσουν τις διεθνείς αγορές. Εμείς σαν Υπουργείο Αγροτικής Ανάπτυξης έχουμε τη βούληση να στηρίξουμε την κοινή αυτή προσπάθεια, όπως φυσικά και η ελληνική κυβέρνηση αντίστοιχα στους υπόλοιπους τομείς», υποστήριξε ο υφυπουργός Βασίλης Κόκκαλης, εγκαινιάζοντας τον δίαυλο επικοινωνίας μεταξύ Ελλήνων και Ισραηλινών επιχειρηματιών.
Ιδιαίτερα στον αγροδιατροφικό τομέα, στόχος της ελληνικής πλευράς είναι η αξιοποίηση της τεχνογνωσίας σε ζητήματα ευφυούς γεωργίας που κατέχουν οι Ισραηλινοί, αλλά και προώθησης των προϊόντων μας στις αγορές.
Σε μια από τις πολλές επαφές που έγιναν προέκυψε και το ενδιαφέρον ισραηλινής εταιρείας να επενδύσει στον τομέα του real estate στην πόλη της Λάρισας.
ΟΙ ΦΟΡΕΙΣ
Τη συνεργασία του Επιμελητηρίου Λάρισας με τις εταιρείες του Ισραήλ στη δημιουργία μιας εταιρείας που θα αναλάβει να τρέξει το ιδιαίτερα φιλόδοξο σχέδιο του αγρομάρκετινγκ, επιδίωξε στις επαφές του ο πρόεδρος Σωτήρης Γιαννακόπουλος (συνοδευόταν από τη διευθύντρια του Επιμελητηρίου Κατερίνα Τσολάκη).
Ο πρόεδρος του Επιμελητηρίου Χανίων Αντώνης Ροκάκης κάλεσε τους Ισραηλινούς να του υποδείξουν ποια προϊόντα μπορούν να καλλιεργηθούν στο νησί τους και εν συνεχεία πώς αυτά θα προωθηθούν για εξαγωγές.
Από την πλευρά του, ο πρύτανης του ΤΕΙ Θεσσαλίας Ξενοφών Σπηλιώτης (συνοδευόταν από τον καθηγητή Αλεξ. Παπαχατζή) επιδίωξε την από κοινού με το Ισραήλ διοργάνωση ενημερωτικών ημερίδων, με έμφαση στην αγροδιατροφή αλλά και τη δυνατότητα φιλοξενίας μαθητών του Τεχνολογικού Ιδρύματος σε ισραηλινές επιχειρήσεις, στο πλαίσιο εκπαιδευτικών προγραμμάτων.
Οι πρώτες επαφές κρίθηκαν θετικές. Θα ακολουθήσουν συναντήσεις b2b, με συγκεκριμένη θεματολογία και χρονοδιάγραμμα, υπό τη διακριτική εποπτεία του ελληνικού ΥΠΑΑΤ, κυρίως για να ξεπεραστούν προβλήματα γραφειοκρατίας.
Οι κ. Γιαννακόπουλος, Ροκάκης, Σπηλιώτης ευχαρίστησαν θερμά τον υφυπουργό Αγροτικής Ανάπτυξης Βασίλη Κόκκαλη για την πρωτοβουλία που πήρε, ώστε η ελληνική αποστολή να επισκεφθεί τη διεθνή έκθεση Agritech και να ενημερωθεί άμεσα για όλες τις τελευταίες εξελίξεις που καταγράφονται στην πρωτογενή παραγωγή, αλλά και για την παρέμβασή του ώστε να γίνουν οι κατ΄ιδίαν συναντήσεις με Ισραηλινούς επιχειρηματίες.
Οι εταιρείες με τις οποίες συναντήθηκε η ελληνική επιχειρηματική αποστολή ήταν η Carmel AGREXCO (AMPA Group) και η Frank Group, αλλά και με Ισραηλινούς επιχειρηματίες, οι οποίοι δραστηριοποιούνται στο Τελ Αβίβ στην εμπορία της φαρμακευτικής κάνναβης και θα μπορούσαν να επενδύσουν και στην Ελλάδα, μετά την ψήφιση του σχετικού νόμου.
Χρήσιμα συμπεράσματα προέκυψαν κι από τις επαφές της ελληνικής αποστολής με τον πρόεδρο του Ισραηλινοελληνικού Επιμελητηρίου Mr Sabby Mionis, ο οποίος αναφέρθηκε στην πολύ στενή συνεργασία των δύο κυβερνήσεων, στη θετική γνώμη που έχουν οι Ισραηλινοί για την πατρίδα μας, γι’ αυτό και τα κύματα Ισραηλινών τουριστών στα ελληνικά νησιά. Παράλληλα ο κ. Mionis κάλεσε τους εκπροσώπους των Επιμελητηρίων να αναζητήσουν αξιόπιστες εταιρείες στις περιοχές τους, οι οποίες αναζητούν επενδυτές και να προκύψουν δυναμικές συνεργασίες.
ΕΠΑΦΕΣ ΚΟΚΚΑΛΗ
Στο περιθώριο της έκθεσης Agritech ο υφυπουργός Αγροτικής Ανάπτυξης Βασ. Κόκκαλης συναντήθηκε αρχικά με τον γενικό διευθυντή του Υπουργείου Γεωργίας του Ισραήλ κ. Shlomo Ben Eliyahu, ο οποίος υποσχέθηκε στον Λαρισαίο κυβερνητικό παράγοντα την άρση των περιορισμών μέχρι το τέλος του χρόνου στις εισαγωγές ελληνικών αμνοεριφίων και αυγών στο Ισραήλ. Ακόμη ο κ. Κόκκαλης συναντήθηκε και με τον υπουργό Γεωργίας του Ισραήλ Uri Ariel και συμφώνησαν στην περαιτέρω συνεργασία των δύο χωρών σε θέματα αγροδιατροφής, τεχνολογίας και εξαγωγών.
ΣΤΟ ΠΑΤΡΙΑΡΧΕΙΟ
Η επίσκεψη της ελληνικής αποστολής ολοκληρώθηκε με τη συνάντηση που είχε στο Πατριαρχείο Ιεροσολύμων με τον Πατριάρχη Θεόφιλο τον Γ΄, τον οποίο ο Βασ. Κόκκαλης συνεχάρη για τον σπουδαίο και κομβικό ρόλο που επιτελεί για την προάσπιση της Ορθοδοξίας στην ευρύτερη περιοχή της Μέσης Ανατολής. Εξέφρασε δε την αμέριστη στήριξη στο Πατριαρχείο της ελληνικής κυβέρνησης και εξομολογήθηκε τα πλούσια συναισθήματα που τον διακατείχαν στην περσινή παρουσία του, στην τελετή αφής του Αγίου Φωτός, εκπροσωπώντας την ελληνική κυβέρνηση.
